Following on from the success of our last ‘Refresher’ meeting the EBCA Coaching Team would like to invite you to a coaching meeting to be held at Falcon Bowling Club - date to be announced
The purpose of the session is to share best practices, look at delivery analysis including the use of video and to look at how to assess team play. This is a great opportunity to meet other coaches and build our county coaching team. The session is open to all coaches, EBCS and Coach Bowls, Levels 1 and 2 , new and experienced. EBCS Level 1 Courses
Essex County Bowling Association policy is to recommend that all clubs have a minimum of two
coaches ideally one Coach Bowls and one English Bowls Coaching Society (EBCS).
To help clubs achieve this the EBCA has arranged the following EBCS Level 1 coaching courses
1. Falcon Indoor Bowling Club on 2nd, 3rd and 12th May
2. Southminster Bowling Club on 1st , 2nd and 9th Jun
3. Chelmsford Bowling Club on 1st, 2nd and 9th July
There are a few places still available on the Falcon course. Southminster and Chelmsford have
several places. To book a place please email Essexbowlscoaching@gmail.com with your name and
club.
Each course is free other than £8 to purchase a EBCS training book and £2 to cover the cost of our
handouts etc. On successful completion coaches will be require to register with EBCS and obtain an
Enhanced DBS, then register with EBCA. Detail on how to do this will be provided on each course.
We would like to thank Falcon, Southminster and Chelmsford Bowling Clubs for kindly agreeing to
host each course.

Coach Bowls Courses : The details of level 1 and level 2 courses to be held at Falcon Bowling Club , Chelmsford are now available on the Coach Bowls Web site . This is a great opportunity for those interested to gain a nationally recognised coaching qualification that is transferable to many other sports.

Applicants are reminded that a Bowls England bursary is available, subject to a couple of conditions, for half of a courses' cost. It is suggested that applicants request half of the remaining from their clubs leaving only 25% to pay.

Roadshows run by Essex Coaches
Our popular half and full days roadshows are back in 2023. We bring our coaches to your club for standard or tailored sessions.
